The Allied Window Center
Founders Margaret & Dean
In 1948, World War II Merchant Marine veteran Obren Dean began
working in the emerging insulated aluminum window industry in
Baltimore, Maryland, along with other young veterans. Obren founded
Allied Aluminum Products in 1957 after 11 years working in the
storm window industry. Starting out small- working out of a two
room cottage - using a nearby pay phone to make appointments and
place orders; Allied quickly grew. In 1960, he purchased our
present location where Allied continues to practice Obren's
original philosophy of honesty, integrity, fairness and human
kindness.
Obren Dean, with his wife Margaret, raised five daughters. Three of
Obren's sons-in-law have continued to expand Allied's window, door,
and siding product installation in the Washington, D.C. area. His
wife and daughters have all been office staff at sometime in the
past. One of his daughters has been office administrator for the
last 27 years. Recently Obren's granddaughter added a third
generation to the company, working in our Warranty
department.
We are family owned and operated, fully licensed and insured. We
use only trained and experienced craftsman to install our products.
Allied stands behind our reputation, our products and our
service.
