Allied is
a Lead-Safe Certified Firm
Allied The Window Center
As of April 22, 2010, remodelers will be held to a new standard
with regards to lead safety. The EPA passed Renovation, Repair and
Painting Final Rule (40 CFR 745). Renovation firms must now be
certified by the EPA to perform any remodeling project (be it
painting, plumbing, electrical work or renovation) that creates
dust in homes that have lead-based paint. (Any home built before
1978 is considered a "target" home and testing must be done to
verify whether or not lead paint is present.) Certified Renovators
using properly trained installers must use specific work practices
to contain and minimize dust. Allied is a certified firm and our
installers have completed the EPA's training course. Please refer
to the EPA's website and brochure (links provided below) to see
specifics.
